Centre for Development Education - CDE is an organisation based in Pune, India which deals with development education in both formal and non-formal set up and the community.
We are in the business of educating children, teachers (both in-service and pre-service) and the community for development education. We have successfully managed projects related to global issues in education and community, sponsored by large corporate houses as a part of their CSR programmes for over 20 years.
Subbalakshmi Kumar has been managing these projects as an individual consultant earlier and has now founded CDE as an organisation to execute the same.
CDE works in partnership with other NGO’s, individuals and institutions and utilizes their expertise and services for execution of its projects. CDE features in the ‘Who’s Who of Climate Change in India’ published by Centre for Social Markets, Kolkata and released at the United Nations Convention on Climate Change UNCCC at Poznan Poland from 1-12 December 2008.

power and resources are more equitably shared. (The DEA,
